A success press conference of the recent release Zara Hatke Zara Bachke was held today at a multiplex in Mumbai and it was graced by Vicky Kaushal, Sara Ali Khan, director Laxman Utkar and producer Dinesh Vijan. The comedy drama has emerged as a surprise hit, collecting Rs. 30.60 crores in five days. Vicky Kaushal gave a touching speech at the event, wherein he spoke highly of Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijan.

Vicky Kaushal said, “Hum aap sab se thank you keh rahe hai kyunki ek aisi film cinema gharon mein chali hai jiska trailer jab aaya tha, toh log keh rahe the ki, ‘Arre yeh toh prime example hai, yeh toh OTT pe aani chahiye thi’.”

He continued, “More than us, it is the victory of the audience. Amongst all of us, the most confident was Laxman sir. He used to say, ‘Mujhe tension nahin hai. Mujhe pata hai ki yeh kahani logon tak pahuchegi. Picture kitni chalegi, mujhe nahin pata par connect zaroor karega. Koi yeh nahin bolega ki maine connect nahin kiya’.”

Vicky then thanked Dinesh Vijan, “He had every logical reason to bring Zara Hatke Zara Bachke on the OTT platform. He would have been completely correct in everybody’s eyes. But he took that risk of releasing a film like this in the cinema halls in today’s times. Sir, uske liye dil se thank you kahunga. Hamare iss film mein dus rupaye bhi nahin lage hai. Aapke saare paise lage hai.”

Vicky Kaushal continued, “We got this date (very late) and we decided to release the film on June 2. Dinoo sir sat in his office till 3 am in the morning with his superb team at Maddock to figure out how can we reach out to people and inform them that ‘aisi bhi ek film aa rahi hai; please mauka dijiye iss film ko’.”
