Just three months after disgraced heartthrob Zayn Malik split from supermodel Gigi Hadid, he’s surfaced on a plus-sized dating app.
In leaked videos obtained by The Sun, the former One Direction crooner, who recently made headlines following an altercation with Hadid’s mother Yolanda, appears to be linked to WooPlus, a website that says it is for “all people who love plus-size singles”.
The app uses facial recognition technology to help verify users’ identities, and a clip of Malik taking part in an emoji challenge surfaced online.
In 2016 Malik told Billboard he was interested in “fuller” women.
“I like girls that are a bit chunky in certain areas – the nice areas. I like a fuller woman,” he said at the time.
In October, Malik was embroiled in controversy after he allegedly called his Netherlands-born mother-in-law a “f…g Dutch slut” and shoved her into a dresser.
The incident happened after a fight at the home in Pennsylvania he shares with Hadid and their daughter Khai.
Gigi was working in Paris but is believed to have heard most of the vile altercation over the phone.
A security guard was present for the exchange.
Malik was charged with four criminal offences of harassment and pleaded no contest to all but one related to alleged verbal abuse, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
He was sentenced to 360 days’ probation, an anger management course and told he must have no contact with Yolanda or a security guard who witnessed the fight.
In a statement, Malik said: “I had agreed not to contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s.”
“Despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press.
“I am hopeful, though, for healing for all involved with the harsh words shared and, more importantly, I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves.”
The 29-year-old was also dropped from his record label.
