It’s no secret the A-listers have access to some of the best experts in the biz when readying their skin for high profile events, especially when there are cameras getting up close and personal with their complexions. But we tapped Vanessa up for the advice she gives her clients to keep their skin in top condition when they’re off-duty.
What is your top tip for next-level skin?
“Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Everything we do always takes hydration out of our skin. Makeup, cleansers, sweating, drinking alcohol and the sun all take moisture out of our skin so it’s super important to drink water and use hydrating products. Make sure to invest in quality moisturisers and cleansers that do not dry the skin out more. And remember to moisturise over damp skin to increase the efficacy,” says Vanessa.

What would your 5 steps be to achieve incredible skin at home?
“The younger you start with skincare the better your base layer will be, so if you’re not already protecting your skin make sure to start today.
- Use a gentle cleanser to clear away any excess oils or dirt from your surroundings
- Hydrate using a light moisturiser and/or serum to re-moisturise the skin for the day
- For brighter skin I would recommend using a vitamin C serum
- Use an SPF everyday as the sun can cause damage and discolouration. With consistent SPF use, you can easily prevent damage. It’s easier to protect than it is to correct
- Everyone would benefit from a retinol in their routine to help fine lines and overall tone and texture”
