Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid has played for one team his entire career, but is that about to change?

The MVP big man admitted this weekend that he wants to win a championship, whether that’s in Philadelphia or somewhere else.

“I just want to win a championship, whatever it takes. I don’t know where that’s going to be, whether it’s in Philly or somewhere else…It’s not easy but every single day I work towards it.”

If Embiid was to leave the Sixers, where would he go?

Here are three options.

1. New York Knicks

The Knicks have been mentioned for Embiid in the past. He clearly loves the big stage and there isn’t a bigger one than Madison Square Garden when it comes to the NBA.

Embiid could be paired up with All-Star guard Jalen Brunson in New York.

2. Miami Heat

The Heat would likely have the assets necessary to trade for Embiid, assuming they are willing to include Bam Adebayo in the deal.

Embiid remains close with Heat star Jimmy Butler, who’s had a great deal of success since leaving Philadelphia for Miami.

3. Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers always seem to be ready to pounce on the next-available NBA star. They’re currently linked to James Harden, though why not go after Embiid eventually?

Much like New York, playing in Los Angeles would provide the MVP big man with a big-time stage.
