8 Outstanding Photos of SI Swimsuit Issue Cover Model Lily Aldridge in Cook Islands

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel was featured in the annual magazine three years in a row.

The year she made her SI Swimsuit debut, Lily Aldridge landed the magazine’s 50th Anniversary cover alongside Chrissy Teigen and Nina Agdal. The trio traveled to the Cook Islands in 2014, where they posed for photographer James Macari.

Aldridge would return to the franchise the following two years for back-to-back features. In ’15, she jetted to Washington for her photo shoot, while the model reunited with Macari in Turks and Caicos in ’16.

In addition to her three consecutive years working with SI Swimsuit, Aldridge was a Victoria’s Secret Angel between 2010 and 2018. Today, the 37-year-old continues to work in the industry and is a mom of two. She and Caleb Followill, lead singer of the rock band Kings of Leon, share a daughter, Dixie, and a son, Winston.

The trio’s iconic magazine cover is one for the books, and Aldridge isn’t afraid to admit it, either. When asked what her No. 1 SI Swimsuit Issue cover of all time is, she answered honestly.

“My favorite Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover of all time is my cover,” Aldridge said with a laugh. “And, of course, all the others are amazing, too.”
