Brilliant is the word to describe Ponniyin Selvan 2 trailer. The star cast of the movie looks absolutely divine and the world is marvellous. Aishwarya Rai as Nandini devi looks mysterious and enchantress.
The makers had a grand trailer launch event, inviting Kamal Haasan as their chief guest. The music of the movie was launched at the same time. It was held in Nehru Indoor Stadium at Chennai.

The trailer launch event of the second installment looked royal and starry. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her presence in a pink anarkali. The diva looked gorgeous at the much-anticipated event. The event also had Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman, Jayam Ravi, Actor Vikram, Trisha Krishnan along with other cast members in attendance.
Today, the Jodhaa Akbar actress shared a post on Instagram captioning it as Enter the world of Intrigue and Romance: #PS2 trailer from today!

Ponniyin Selvan 2 is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 novel of the same name. The big movie is produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies. The second part will continue where the first installment ends with Ponniyin Selvan’s death. Fans are eager to watch the second version of the much-loved franchise as Aishwariya Rai will be seen in a double role – Nandini and Mandakini.
When the Devdas actress was asked about reuniting with Mani Ratnam for the period drama, she said “Working with Mani sir, he is my guru. I worked on my first film with him. I am blessed to get an opportunity to start my journey as an actor working with him. The perfect school, the perfect guru, because experience is the best teacher. A lot of work ethic, it all starts in the beginning.”
Ponniyin Selvan 2 will release in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil on April 28, 2023.
