Alaska Airlines Flight Pass Sale

There’s a good chance you’re enrolled in a subscription service of some kind. Whether for your clothing, groceries, or entertainment, there is a service for most things. But did you know that there’s also a flight subscription service? Additionally, there’s an ongoing sale.

Alaska Airlines Flight Pass

Alaska Airlines introduced its Flight Pass nearly a year ago. This annual subscription plan allows subscribers to travel on eligible Alaska Airlines flights by paying a monthly fixed fee.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Visit flightpass.alaskaair.com to sign up.
  2. From there, you can choose how many roundtrip credits you want to get each month. Subscribers can choose to take 6, 12, or 24 trips annually. There are also two variations of the Pass: Flight Pass (which allows booking up to 2 weeks (14 days) before the flight departs, and as early as 90 days in advance) and Flight Pass Pro (which allows booking as soon as up to 2 hours before the flight departs and as early as 90 days in advance).
  3. Agree to the rate that will be paid each month. Note that the rate will not change over the 12-month subscription period.
  4. Earn credits after you’ve made your successful payment each month.

Once you receive your credits in your account, you can redeem them for roundtrip tickets on eligible Alaska Airlines flights. You must redeem and book travel with your credits before the next month’s batch is deposited into the account. Otherwise, your credits will expire.

Note that you don’t have to travel before the credit expires. You only have to book your travel with your credit before the credit expires.

You have up to 90 days to use each credit.

When booking your tickets, note that some fares may be higher, but generally, most fares included in the subscription cost only $0.01. Unfortunately, you are still responsible for the taxes and fees associated with your selected flight. Additionally, destinations are limited (see the flight map here).

Anniversary Sale

As Alaska Airlines is celebrating the introduction of Flight Pass nearly a year ago, their sale is an anniversary one. Use code FPBDAY20 at checkout for 20% off the first three months.

Additional Benefits

Other benefits of the Flight Pass include the following:

  • Seat assignments on every flight.
  • Free upgrades to First Class and Premium Class if you have Mileage Plan elite status.
  • The ability to earn at least 500 miles for every completed flight.

Summary

If having a monthly travel pass excites you, and you live near the cities Alaska serves, consider trying for the Flight Pass. It can save you time, plus it comes with plenty of flexibility. But, you do have to commit to the Flight Pass as you can’t cancel or transfer the 12-month commitment once you start.
