Alison Hammond confirmed at the end of This Morning that she and Dermot O’Leary would be taking a break and the show wouldn’t air on Monday.

Towards the end of Friday’s instalment, the ITV host said they would be back on Tuesday instead of the show’s usual time slot of 10am on Monday.

Monday’s ITV schedule will see back-to-back football which will disturb the full morning schedule, with GMB, Lorraine, and Loose Women all pulled off air.

“We are back on Tuesday morning as the World Cup for the women’s is on ITV on Monday,” she stated.

Dermot chipped in: “We will see you then. Dr. Scott will be taking to the water for a summer adventure.”

Alison continued: “Lisa Snowdon is ripping up the rule book with some amazing fashion rentals.”

“Tuesday slighter later at 11.15am,” Dermot went on to confirm. “Take care have a great weekend.”

After speaking with Alison and Dermot O’Leary during Friday’s Lorraine, Christine Lampard also confirmed when the ITV programme would be back on screens.

She told viewers: “That’s all I’ve got time for today.

“Yes, I am back on my hot pink scooter. World Cup next week so we are back Wednesday and Friday.”

“Have a great weekend, see you soon, bye, bye,” she signed off.

Good Morning Britain also suffered a shake-up after the show fronted by Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard was taken off air on Friday.

Instead, viewers tuned in to watch the Philippines play Switzerland in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

Many took to Twitter in droves to share their disappointment over the schedule shake-up.

@Jaccatsandme quizzed: “@GMB Where are you? I thought I’d slept through to Saturday morning!”

“@GMB How to lose viewers take off the program and put on football, you can’t make it up,” @smickphoto went on to say.

@YourPTDave tweeted: “No @GMB? I’m sorry but taking a major 3 hour morning news program off the air for a 90 min women’s football game is OVER KILL.!!! @GBNEWS it is then…” (sic)

This Morning returns on Tuesday at 11.15am on ITV.
