When the Hindi adaptation of The Night Manager, starring Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur was released this year, it instantly impressed the audience. Now, the makers are all set to drop the second part of the first season. Ahead of the release of the second part of The Night Manager season one, actor Anil Kapoor discussed how he prepared to be a ruthless character in the Disney+ Hotstar series.
Anil Kapoor confesses he is “completely opposite” to his The Night Manager character; gives insight into his prep
For the unversed, Anil plays the character of Shelly Rungta, an arms dealer. While talking about his process of pre during a press conference, Kapoor asserted, “Certain roles need a lot of prep. Because in real life, I am not that overconfident, I am not that flamboyant, I am not so power hungry, and I am not someone who will go to any extent to achieve what I have to achieve.”
He continued, “I am a very people person. I am quiet. I try to laugh a lot, smile a lot, and (full of ) energy and positivity. It’s completely opposite to my personality. For some roles, I have to restrain myself a lot. I have to be very understated, very low-key. So for that, sometimes I have to prepare for it, so that I’m very calm from inside, mentally and physically and spiritually to project that kind of body language and demeanour.”
Coming back to the web show, as mentioned above, the release of the second part of The Night Manager season 1 is around the corner. Directed by Aarya fame Sandeep Modi, the web show also features Tillotama Shome, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Saswata Chatterjee, among many others.
