Britain’s Got Talent returned on Tuesday night with comedic variety act Viggo Venn taking to the stage.

As a member of the ‘Hi-Vis Community’, he left Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon in hysterics as he recorded their voices as part of his act.

Getting the audience and judges on their feet, he proceeded to run and dance around the stage with his iconic Hi-Vis.

However, viewers could not help but notice he fell down the stairs as he exited the stage.

The audience gasped as he took a tumble and viewers took to Twitter to point out the moment.

Chris said: “He even fell down the stairs like Marv from Home Alone. #BGT”

Jessica added: “Me Mam ‘did he fall down the stairs on purpose?’ However crazy his performance was, skiing down the stairs via his chin didn’t seem to fit his theme. Most definitely was a fall. #BGT”

@calliexmarie asked: “Wait, was falling down the stairs part of the act orrrrr??? #BGT”

Julie McCarthy shared: “#BGT was viggo meant to fall down the stairs was it planned.”

Sophie Hall commented: “Nah he just full on fell down them stairs #BGT”

Ryan Glendenning laughed: “Not Vigo sliding down the stairs and doing an Ant #BGT”

The first semi-final of the week was thrown into chaos after host Ant slipped on the stage whilst opening the show.

He took to social media to give viewers an update afterwards, saying: “It was alright, I think the adrenaline gets you through but now it’s a bit like OOH I need a bit of ice on that.”

Judge Alesha said Viggo was her favourite act of the night, as did judge Simon Cowell.

However, he did admit it was “the most annoying” act of the evening, but could not hide his laughter.

The full line-up of contestants taking part in tonight’s semi-final included all-female dance group Yo Highness and 15-year-old singer Tia Connolly.

Others taking to the stage were salsa dance duo Nathan and Joanne, singer and magician Lewis Fuller and 11-year-old singer Olivia Lynes.

Viewers were also freaked out by sword swallower Andrew Stanton and cried over all-male choir John’s Boys.

Britain’s Got Talent is airing weeknights on ITV from 8pm.
