Leeds United winger Raphinha is being targeted by both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur if recent reports are to be believed.
The Telegraph reported on Friday that the Gunners are admirers of Raphinha, who could cost up to £70million this summer, according to The Athletic. The Brazilian international enjoyed a productive 2021/22 campaign with the Yorkshire-based club, netting 11 Premier League goals and providing a further three assists to help stave off relegation on the final day of the season.
Now, The Athletic have claimed that both Arsenal and Spurs are targeting the former Lille star this summer as the two north London sides look to bolster their attacking options. It has been widely reported that Barcelona is the player’s ideal destination, although it is now claimed that there are growing concerns over whether or not the Catalan giants can fund a deal for the 25-year-old.

The report also claims that if Tottenham do sign Raphinha, they won’t also bring Everton’s Richarlison to N17, with the Lillywhites said to be keen to bring just one of the Brazilians to north London this summer. The talented wide man has claimed in recent days that his future isn’t in his hands, admitting that his agent Deco and Leeds control what happens next in his career.
“I have a contract with Leeds until 2024, my future is in the hands of Deco and Leeds,” he said while on international duty with Brazil. I have my mind set on the national team, on the game and also on my vacations.
“I have a contract with Leeds and this issue is resolved by my agent. When there is something, he will tell me.”
