Aussie star Margot stuns back home in Barbie-inspired dress

Margot Robbie has paid homage to Barbie in a slinky pink dress while lunching with her husband, Tom Ackerley.

Despite the Barbie movie coming out months ago, it seems the 33-year-old isn’t entirely done with her plastic alter ego.

The Aussie star stepped out in a floral pink mini dress for a lunch date at Mr Percivals in Brisbane with Ackerley and a group of friends.

Robbie looked glowing in the summer outfit, which featured lace details around the bust, paired with a gold locket necklace.

The actress also chose a pair of gold earrings and round Rayban sunglasses while opting for a natural makeup look.

Robbie’s public appearance comes after being slammed for dismissing Halloween costume guidelines issued by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Radio and Television Artists.

Last week, the performers union told its members to “choose costumes inspired by generalised characters” and not to “post photos of costumes inspired by struck content to social media”.

However, Robbie ignored the advice and dressed up as vigilante V from the cult film V For Vendetta for the Casamigos Halloween party in Los Angeles on Friday.

Some fans called her out on social media.

“She’s treading a thin line with the costume,” one person said.

Another said: “I thought actors weren’t allowed to dress up as characters? Look at who she’s dressing up as. Could it be symbolic, or do you think with everything going on, they CARE about some stupid rules even if it might impact their bookings???”
