Avelo Airlines, the start-up leisure carrier that launched last year, is kicking off 2022 with a bang. Starting on Sunday, January 9, the airline is launching a 72-hour 50% off base fare sale on travel through the end of March 2022.

Avelo currently flies to 19 destinations, including several cities in Florida (such as Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale) from its Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) hub. It flies to cities throughout California, Oregon, Utah, and other Western states from Burbank (BUR).

To book, use the Promo Code: AVELO50 to book a discounted fare at AveloAir.com for one of Avelo’s 19 destinations. The fare sale runes from Sunday, January 9 to Tuesday, January 11 and is valid for travel completed between January 9 and March 31, 2022.

The fares sale is for 50% off all Base Fares, with the discount is applied to the base fare, not taxes and fees. For example, a peak-travel period roundtrip between New Haven (HVN) and Orlando, FL (MCO) in March with a pre-discounted full fare of $408 (including taxes and fees) would result in a discounted promo fare of $218 (also including taxes and fees).

Or, let’ s say you wanted to fly from California to Utah to ski. The pre-discount roundtrip price (with taxes and fees) of a February flight from Burbank to Salt Lake/Ogden (OGD) is $178. The discounted roundtrip (with taxes and fees) would be $101.

A non-peak period roundtrip between Burbank (BUR) and the Napa Valley area of California, Santa Rosa, (STS) in January with a pre-discounted full fare of $58 would result in a discounted promo fare of $43.

When Avelo Airlines launched its first commercial flight on April 28, 2021, it became the first new US airline to fly in fifteen years. The fledgling airline had to meet the challenge of launching and flying through the pandemic. Starting with three aircraft, it has since doubled the number of planes it operates, with three Boeing 737-700 and an additional three Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Avelo met the challenge of launching and flying through the pandemic. In 2021, the airline flew 345,000 customers on 3,000 flights while creating over 330 jobs. Avelo serves 19 U.S. destinations out of its West Coast at Burbank Airport (BUR) and their East Coast hub, New Haven (HVN.) The company also recently added $42 million in Series B funding and says it has made commitments to add nine more aircraft into its fleet by the end of 2022.

Avelo is focused on leisure destinations, such as winter getaways from their East Coast hub to sunny spots like Tampa (TPA), West Palm Beach (PBI), Orlando (MCO), and Fort Lauderdale (FLL). Travelers from Burbank can fly to ski spots like Fort Collins/Loveland (FNL) in Colorado and Salt Lake City/Ogden (OGD) in Utah.

Other destinations include Arcata/Eureka, CA (ACV), Eugene OR (EUG), Fort Myers, FL (RSW), Las Vegas (LAS) Medford (MFR), Pasco, WA (PSC), Redding, CA (RDD), Redmond/Bend (RDM), Santa Rosa (STS), Sarasota/Bradenton (SRQ) and Tucson (TUS).

Avelo regularly posts deals and promo codes to its thousands of Instagram followers.

“Our purpose at Avelo is to inspire travel and we believe the more money we can save our customers the more traveling they will do,” said Travis Christ, Avelo’s Head of Marketing. “We hope this extraordinary discount will inspire people to kick off 2022 with a trip or two they previously weren’t considering,”

Avelo says it plans to more than double its nationwide network of destinations from 19 to 40 markets across the U.S. by the end of 2022.
