Whose says you can’t find love on The Bachelor?

Pilot Jimmy Nicholson and his final choice Holly Kingston have announced their engagement a year after they found love on the reality series.

Nicholson proposed to his partner while the couple were on in Italy, during their European getaway.

The couple took to social media to share their happy news.

Professional photos show Kingston looking stunning in a yellow dress, while Nicholson wore a blue button-up top with white shorts.

In one image you can see both of them look emotional as they appear to be wiping away their tears.

They were sent well wishes and congratulations by several of their famous friends including Osher Günsberg, Nikki Gogan and Darvid Garayeli.

Nicholson had reportedly planned the proposal for several months, buying a diamond ring from Sydney’s Cerrone Jewellers and asking Kingston’s parents for their permission.

The couple shared their news exclusively with Stellar magazine, where they revealed details behind the proposal.

Nicholson had given his soon-to-be-wife a full day of romantic gestures, including Bachelor-style date cards, and led Kingston to the balcony at Hotel Lorelei Londres in Sorrento, Italy.

Their favourite song, Butterflies by Max and Ali Gatie, was playing through the hotel speakers ahead of the sunset proposal.

“I have to plan things around my (flight) roster,” the pilot told the publication.

“In an ideal scenario, we’d get married in the first week of August next year and have three weeks’ honeymoon.

“We don’t know where we’re going to go, if it’s going to be big or small.

“Initially, we just wanted to elope but we’ve got elderly family members who want to be there.”
