ORIGINAL: Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian has delayed the release of Patch 3 on PC and PlayStation 5. Originally scheduled to launch on September 21, the next major Baldur’s Gate 3 update will now make its debut on the afternoon of September 22. Baldur’s Gate updates typically go live at around 6pm BST UK time, so keep checking back for confirmation. According to Larian, the patch is so big that it needed to be delayed in order to perform additional testing.
The news was announced by Larian on Twitter: “Patch 3 is coming, and it’s a big one. To ensure thorough testing, we’re releasing Patch 3 this Friday, September 22 instead.
“Thanks for your patience, all!”
In addition to adding Mac support for Baldur’s Gate 3, the new update also introduces the new Magic Mirror item.
According to the early patch notes, the Magic Mirror can be found within your camp. It gives players the opportunity to change the appearance of their characters.
This includes voices and pronouns, as well as physical appearances. Unfortunately, however, you won’t be able to alter race, body types and Origins.
Larian is also expected to fix an issue with the game crashing on PlayStation 5, which is believed to be a PSN issue.
If you have experienced crashing issues, then it’s worth disconnecting your PS5 from the internet.
