A Perth woman has copped backlash after claiming she is the “favourite among dads at the school gates”.
Lucy Banks, 31, took to Instagram this week to reveal why she is so popular at school pickup.
A fan asked the question: “Why are you the favourite among school dads?” She replied with a video, joking in the caption: “I don’t know, it’s a mystery.”
The video was filmed in her car, and towards the end of the clip she pans to the back of her vehicle where there is an OnlyFans bumper sticker — revealing why she is the favourite.
In 2019, Banks left her 9 to 5 banking job to start her OnlyFans career. Now, she brings in between $35,000 and $60,000 every month.
Many social media users slammed the video, with one writing: “I can’t think of anything, sorry.”
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, she candidly revealed the video was only made to “get views”.
She said it “wasn’t meant to be serious,” adding: “I’m simply a content creator aiming for views. It’s astonishing how a simple caption can elicit thousands of comments”.
Banks recently revealed the weird kinks that appeal to her fans.
“I’ve got subscribers who message me good morning, every single day,” she said.
“And then I’ll message them back, tell them what I had for breakfast. It’s like talking to your girlfriend. “
Banks says she takes the time to learn her subscribers’ birthdays and dogs’ names and really gets to know “what their day-to-day life is like”.
“It’s not always sexual and sending pornos and stuff,” she said.
“It really is a deeper connection.”
And while most are struggling with the rising cost of living, Banks said her work has skyrocketed.
“As soon as people really started feeling the pinch of these interest rate rises and the cost of living, my subscriptions skyrocketed,” she said.
“I think when people are feeling low, they want to connect with another human being and find a way to feel good.”
The mother believes her personalised content is starting to become more popular than the sexualised content the adult platform is known for, with polished content also out the window — and amateur, homemade material all the rage.
“I feel like a lot of the more extreme content — like the massive dildos and feet-sucking and all that — it seems to be fading out a little bit and in its place is a softer, more connection-based relationship with a lot of creators,” she said.
Still working long hours, Banks doesn’t mind as she gets to do it from home — often from the comfort of her own bed.
And, at the end of the day, her career change has provided her with exactly what she said she wanted — stability.
