Britain has some incredible beaches and seaside towns to explore, but there’s one beach where they’ve got a better chance of enjoying good weather.
According to the expert team at Parkdean resorts, an East Sussex beach is the warmest in the UK.
The team looked at the average summer temperatures for several of the UK’s most popular beaches to find the country’s warmest.
As online searches for wild swimming soar, there are a few spots where the sea water is likely to be a more tempting temperature.
This year’s warmest beach is a “beautiful” spot with golden sands, which is easily reached from London.
Camber Sands is the UK’s warmest beach with average summer temperatures of over 21 degrees.
The only sand dune system in East Sussex, the beach feels particularly special and is located near Rye.
Camber Sands has one of the area’s few sandy beaches making it a stand-out for day trippers from London.
A tourist ‘J’Marie Dewdrop’ wrote on Tripadvisor: “Beautiful beach. Stunning beach, all sand, lovely clean waters and beach.”
Another person ‘lucynougat’ wrote: “Lovely. I loved this beach. The sand was lovely and the cool sea breeze was very welcome.”
Bournemouth Beach, rated the country’s best based on Tripadvisor reviews, took the second spot tied with Sandbanks Beach and Hengistsbury Head.
