Beyond Paradise has been airing on BBC One and the series follows Humphrey Goodman (played by Kris Marshall) and Martha Lloyd (Sally Bretton) as they navigate a new stage in their relationship. Having settled in Devon, Humphrey joined the local police force, where he has been working closely with DS Esther Williams (Zahra Ahmadi). The stars of the Death in Paradise spin-off spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk and other press about the Esther actress.
Beyond Paradise has seen Humphrey warm nicely to his new role as Detective at Shipton Abbott police station.
Whilst he has been cracking some curious cases with his new colleagues, Martha was setting up her new restaurant, the Ten Mile Kitchen.
Although Humphrey took a while to click with his new colleague Esther Williams, the pair are now working harmoniously together.
He has made some good friends in his new team, which also includes Margot Martins (Felicity Montagu) and Kelby Hartford (Dylan Llewellyn).
Felicity explained how co-star Zahra had acted as their dialect coach as they had to learn Devon accents for the role.

“She was very complimentary of us and was very encouraging.”
The pair were asked where they took inspiration from whilst learning the accent for the role.
Felicity explained: “I remember when I was in my 20s I had to do an accent for something, a Northamptonshire accent.
