SAN JOSE — A modern tech, advanced manufacturing and logistics complex that would replace a four-decade-old industrial building could sprout in North San Jose, plans filed with city officials show.

The project would be located at 2105 Lundy Ave. and 2031 Concourse Drive in San Jose, according to the documents filed with the municipal planning department.

9th St. Partners, based in the Los Angeles-area city of Manhattan Beach, has proposed the project’s development. The new building would total 96,300 square feet, the planning files show.

On June 8, acting through an affiliate, 9th St. Partners paid $19 million for the building, according to property documents on file with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.

The existing building, constructed in 1983, totals 60,400 square feet, a post on the LoopNet commercial property services site shows.

“The proposed project is designed to reposition the property as a modern industrial facility that will appeal to technologically-oriented logistics or manufacturing companies,” the developer said in a filing with San Jose planners.

The existing building would be bulldozed to clear the way for the modern tech center. A timeline for the construction project wasn’t immediately available.

The new complex is expected to entice an array of tenants.
