Blake Lively Offers a Playful Peek Into Her Pregnancy Workout

It seems Blake Lively’s exercise routine isn’t providing the results one might expect. In the spirit of the “New Year, New You!” mentality we all tend to embrace in the early days of January, the actor shared a post to Instagram featuring a tongue-in-cheek take on the classic before-and-after shot with trainer Don Saladino.

“Been doing @donsaladino’s workout program for months now,” captioned Lively next to two nearly identical side-by-side shots with Saladino, minus her baby bump in the second, of course. “Something isn’t working.” Saladino, who has worked with the likes of Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, and, of course, Ryan Reynolds, shared the snap to his own social, adding that results are “guaranteed”—tagging Reynolds for good measure. 

Jokes aside, physical activity like walking is beneficial to both the mother and baby during pregnancy, buoying heart and lung health along with overall mood and well-being. Moderate to high-intensity workouts (like those favored by Saladino), however, should her reserved for those already accustomed to said levels of training, all at a doctor’s discretion. Given that Lively is a fitness devotee—both before and after babies—we’d say her routine is working just fine.
