Bonhams Offers Eight Orange 2010 Aston-Martins At Auction October 8

The best things in life are orange, if you’re the person who buys one or all of the barely-driven orange 2010 Aston-Martins coming up for auction at the The Zoute Sale, held on Sunday, October 8, in Le Zoute, Belgium, by Bonhams.

The orange is a one-off, so you’ll have a very unique ride. Each vehicle is (practically) brand-new, barely driven, they say, with anywhere from 70 to 235 miles on each.

The idea came about when a private party approached the automaker and requested commissioning special Swiss-spec examples of each of the 2010 lineup in a bespoke orange, and they went for it. But they didn’t just paint the outside – they dyed the leather-covered interiors the same citrus color as well.

Not all Aston-Martins are created equal, though – you’ll want to keep your eye on the DBS Coupé and DBS Volante.

These rides, prominently featured in Daniel Craig’s first two James Bond movies, have 5.9-liter, V-12 engines making 510 horsepower, sent to their rear axles by way of a six-speed “Touchtronic 2” paddle-shift semi-automatic transmission. Both can rocket from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and have a top speed of 190 mph, and are expected to sell for between $85,000 and $128,000 apiece.

There are also both convertible and coupe versions of the DB9 – a V12 Vantage Coupé and a four-door Rapide – but these are ever-so-tamer, more suitable for country drives or the mountains, than blistering track outings.

These could go for between $64,000 and $96,000 each. Bonham estimates they could sell for $53,000 to $85,000 and $42,000 to $64,000 respectively. A V8 Vantage Coupé and V8 Vantage Roadster are also in the collection and are expected to go for between $42,000 to $64,000 each.

The Zoute Sale will be held on Sunday, October 8, in Le Zoute, Belgium, and you can buy one or more – or the whole bunch, which will set you back around $500,000 for all eight GTs.

“This is a truly incredible and bespoke offering and I envisage collectors wanting to secure the entire collection with many others trying to win a particular favorite. Whatever the outcome, the new owners will own a unique part of motoring history,” said Gregory Tuytens, Head of Sales at Bonham Cars.

The Zoute sale also offers other unique rarities, such as:

*A 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’ estimated to retrieve between $532,000 to $730,000

*A 1929 Bugatti Type 37 Grand Prix Two-Seater expected to bring in upwards of $135 million

*A 1970 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 “Daytona” Berlinetta with coachwork by Carrozzeria Pininfarina/Scaglietti and owned by ex-singer and French song writer Christophe.
