Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan registered the biggest-ever opening since its release. The slick spy entertainer has already created history with its spectacular advance bookings. It continued to make and break records on the second day too. Post collecting more than Rs 57 crores on its first day. Pathaan has set a record with its second-day collection too.
Pathaan Box Office Collection Day 2
As per Box Office India, the film collected approximately Rs 70 crore on Thursday, as the nation celebrated Republic Day. The publication added that the exact figures could be even higher in various sectors. Not only the Hindi belt, the South also saw huge crowds pouring in on the second day of the film’s release.
According to Boxofficeindia.com, “Pathaan collected at least ₹70 crores in Hindi and could be higher when the final numbers come. This would take its two-day collections to around ₹127 crores. The report added, “There is no film which has even got close to 70 crore net with the 50 crores net mark being breached a couple of times on the first day.”
There was a massive craze for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer that midnight shows were also added to meet the unprecedented demand across the country. The film was released on 8000 screens across the globe, with 2500 screens abroad. Not only in India, but Pathaan also had a good start at the box office overseas too. The movie minted more than 100 crores overseas on Day 1 the figures are expected to increase on Day 2.
Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan also features Deepika Padukone as an ISI agent and John Abraham as a former rogue RAW agent. Salman Khan also has an action-packed cameo in the SRK starrer.
