Holly Golightly better go quickly to scoop up reservations to one of the most highly anticipated openings in NYC- The Blue Box Café by Daniel Boulud at the Tiffany & Co. located on the 6th floor of the newly reopened “The Landmark.” Last month, Tiffany & Co. hosted a star-studded celebration for the reopening of its recently transformed flagship store on 57th Street and Fifth Avenue and the Blue Box Café by Daniel Boulud is the caviar on top of this great revival. Beginning May 22nd, fans of the iconic brand will be able to actually have Breakfast at Tiffany’s along with an all-day menu that will include afternoon tea- all promise to be heavily photographed and instagrammed.
The trademark “Tiffany Blue” color (which is also known as the Pantone color “1837 Blue,” named after Tiffany’s founding year) is tastefully and creatively sprinkled throughout the space. Whether it is the chandelier-like Tiffany blue boxes hanging above diners, the marble-clad accent wall with the perfect blue hues, or the art-inspired dishes with touches of blue, guests are fully-immersed in the Tiffany & Co. lifestyle.
As you find yourself perusing The Landmark’s 10 sparkling floors, you forget that you are in a retail store as it feels more like a museum with nearly 40 works of art, including never-before-seen Tiffany-commissioned pieces. The curation features works by renowned artists including Damien Hirst, Julian Schnabel, Rashid Johnson, Anna Weyant, Anna Weyant, Richard Prince, Jenny Holzer, and Daniel Arsham. Legendary architect Peter Marino was the mastermind behind the refacing of the interior architecture of the iconic property.
The “Audrey Experience” celebrates the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s, by paying homage to a key moment in cinematic history and a pivotal moment for Tiffany & Co. as a company. A replica of Audrey Hepburn’s Givenchy black dress worn in the movie’s famous opening scene plays center stage and is as timeless as the pearl and diamond necklace that adorns it.
The collaboration of Tiffany & Co. and Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud is a match made in culinary heaven. If you are visiting New York and want the complete experience, reservations can be made on the Resy website or app and walk-ins are also accepted.
