Brian Windhorst piqued the interest of Cleveland Cavaliers fans without saying much at all.

During a radio interview on 850 ESPN Cleveland, the NBA insider said the Cavs have “kept their information pretty tight” about offseason plans. However, he hinted at some tantalizing rumors without going into detail.

“I have some speculation, there’s a couple of outlandish stuff that I’m not going to say right now because I’d get in trouble,” Windhorst said. “I wish I could tell you more, and I know I shouldn’t tease you.”

He encouraged everyone else to do their own social media sleuthing to try and guess the “outlandish” idea.

“There’s one thing out there that I heard … Well, just look on social media in this last week and see what you see, and start going from there.”

Well, that’s not too helpful.

To avoid setting fans into a frenzy with speculation, Windhorst instead has led to enhanced speculation about what they’re speculating on. Twitter users are already wondering if Cleveland could shop Donovan Mitchell, who can become a free agent in two years.

The last time Windhorst was this cryptic, pointing his fingers in an instantly memed moment, he seemed to foreshadow the Utah Jazz trading Rudy Gobert and Mitchell. Let’s see if this tease ends up making sense later this summer.
