Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis has shared a touching video of her husband and their two daughters on her Instagram page.

The Hollywood star stopped acting last year after being diagnosed with aphasia, but he’s still fondly remembered for his iconic role as John McClane in Die Hard, amongst many others.

On Sunday, Emma posted a video of the family visiting a mural dedicated to the 1988 action film, which had its 35th anniversary this month.

“Back in 2018 (when these videos and pictures were taken) we took Mabel and Evelyn to the Fox lot to peek at the archives as well as see the larger-than-life mural of their dad,” she wrote.

“This mural was unveiled in front of Bruce back in 2013 to commemorate Die Hard’s 25th anniversary.

“Today marks Die Hard’s 35th anniversary when it hit the screens and the rest is history.

“What Bruce has been able to accomplish in his career will never be lost on us. We are so proud of him.”

The giant painting at Fox Studios in Los Angeles depicts McClane crawling through the air vents of the Nakatomi Plaza to evade Hans Gruber (played by Alan Rickman).

John McTiernan’s action film became a smash hit and launched Willis to stardom.

He has since starred as McClane in four sequels and is known for other iconic films such as The Sixth Sense, Pulp Fiction and The Fifth Element.

Last year, Willis’ daughter with his ex-wife Demi Moore, Rumer Willis, confirmed the actor’s retirement in an Instagram post.

“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” she wrote.

“As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

Now, Emma’s latest tribute has received huge support from Willis’ fans who have fond memories of watching his starring roles over the years.

@lettherealpsmbewithyou replied: “Thank you Bruce for entertaining us for all these years! Wishing you the best!”

And @breephoenix said: “Bruce has been in so many movies, it’s impossible to choose a favourite. Wow 35 years, where does time go?”
