C.P. Company has teamed up with Top Boy star and grime pioneer Kano for a one-off style from the brand’s Metropolis Series. Launching exclusively at FLANNELS, the collaboration comprises a limited-edition Field Jacket informed by city-living.
For this release, the London-based creative has looked to his own personal music journey and the structure of the brand’s iconic design to highlight the protective innovation qualities—including water-resistant GORE-TEX 3L fabrication—that the Metropolis Series is known for. Coming in a debut black colourway, the inspiration is further enforced with a campaign video that offers a closer look at the shared inspiration informing the duo’s creative process, through a technical and music-based lens.
Rounding things out with bias binding that has been developed to include hand-written notes from the critically acclaimed album Hoodies All Summer, the visual project also sees Kano embark on a journey between Newham and C.P. Company’s design studio in Madrid, as he navigates the metropolis of both cities.
To celebrate the launch, FLANNELS will host an unforgettable night of live music acts and DJ sets curated personally by Kano, dubbed Tapes Redefined. The stacked lineup will feature legendary artists—and will see an exclusive comeback moment—who have each played a fundamental role in shaping the unique London sound over time, plus an all-female roster of DJs dominating the city’s music scene today.
The C.P. Company x Kano exclusive will be available in a limited run from March 30 on flannels.com and in-store at FLANNELS X in London, and FLANNELS Liverpool.
