There’s few players to be compared to in Boston Celtics lore than Hall of Famer Paul Pierce. Unfortunately for second-year point guard JD Davison, his new comparison for Pierce has nothing to do with his play.

During a Summer League game against the Miami Heat, cameras noticed that Davison had a pretty visible brown streak on the back of his pants.

It didn’t take long for people who know Boston Celtics lore to recall an infamous moment when Paul Pierce left the court during the 2008 NBA Finals in a wheelchair. Theories have raged for 15 years that Pierce really left the court because he needed to use the restroom.

As a result, Boston fans believe that comparisons between Davison and Pierce are “accurate.”

“Bring out the wheelchair for JD Davison,” Jomboy Media wrote.

“Jd Davison really s— his pants in a summer league game. Paul pierce should have taught him the wheel chair trick,” another fan replied.

Now if Davison can just learn how to shoot 40-percent from three, he can really start to embrace those Paul Pierce comparisons.
