It will give Pochettino the chance to work with his new squad on the training ground as he plans to undergo a major squad revamp this summer, with at least half a dozen departures expected and more could follow.
It remains to be seen whether Boehly will tone down his spending after Pochettino moves into his new surroundings, having already blown £600million on transfers in his first year as owner.
Chelsea will be forced to cut their bloated squad and raise funds to avoid any Financial Fair Play penalties, with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic likely to go.
But there is likely to be some new arrivals to replace those departing, with a new goalkeeper, midfielder and striker believed to be on his wishlist.
