BEIJING, 6th July, 2023 (WAM) — Chinese authorities have announced a campaign on Wednesday aimed at removing administrative obstacles that hinder the establishment of a national unified market and the realisation of fair competition, state news agency (Xinhua) reported.
“The State Administration for Market Regulation, one of the four authorities overseeing this initiative, has announced that the campaign will specifically target measures and policies that may impede market entry and exit, hinder the free flow of goods and production factors, as well as disrupt production and business activities.”
Relevant policy documents currently implemented by central government departments and local governments above the county level throughout China will be thoroughly examined for any hindrances. Those responsible for devising and enforcing these targeted measures are accountable for their abolition or rectification, as stated by the administration.
China pledged in early June to improve its business environment at a faster pace with upcoming measures regarding fair competition, intellectual property rights protection, a unified market and easing market access.
