The crumpled carry-all is the latest whimsical offering from the Spanish fashion house Balenciaga.
The luxury label has given a preview of a line of leather bags designed to look like crisp packets in a partnership with Lays – a brand of crisps popular on the Continent and in the US.
They will be available in four flavours — original, salt and vinegar, lime, and flamin’ hot — although it is unknown when they go on sale.
Balenciaga has form for making quirky statements, from $1,000 jackets designed to look like high-vis security gear to fashion show catwalks covered in mud.
