Before the 80-year-old former Cleveland boxer departed his four walls for the hereafter, he had become known as America’s most prolific serial killer with nearly 100 victims.

During a homicidal rampage that encompassed huge swaths of the U.S. starting in 1970, no one ever connected the dots to Little until a Texas Ranger befriended the old killer.

Over pizza and cards, Little told the cop everything in staggering detail. Details that only the killer would know.

Fast forward to 2021. Countless recent documentaries have detailed the days in the 1970s and 1980s when Los Angeles was the serial killer capital of the world with at least five operating at the same time. There was the Hillside Strangler, the Freeway Killer, the Night Stalker … and Samuel Little.

It was revealed this week that Little confessed to strangling at least 16 women in the Los Angeles area in the 1980s and 1990s. New details released by the FBI, the Department of Justice and the Texas Rangers provided the latest disturbing narrative.

What set Little apart from fantastical serial killer Henry Lee Lucas, who confessed to hundreds of murders (later determined to be bogus), was the quiet murderers photographic memory. He could describe what his victims looked like, where he left their bodies and other macabre details.

And he likely wasn’t caught because he was killing mostly Black drug addicts, sex workers and other women on society’s fringes. The murders themselves were paid little attention because of who the victims were.

According to the FBI, Little began using Los Angeles as his private slaughterhouse in 1984 when he murdered a woman and dumped her body along a service road. Sometimes he did drugs and had sex with his victims. Sometimes not.

Three of his victims were picked up from a South LA burger joint called Tam’s Hamburgers.

“The information contained in these narratives could be the missing piece to solving some of these murders,” Steven McCraw, director of the Texas Department Of Public Safety, said in a statement.

Initially, some of the deaths were wrongly classified as drug overdoses or natural deaths. Little told detectives he strangled them all.

Meanwhile, authorities said 31 Little’s victims remain unidentified.

“Little had a photographic memory and was able to ​describe where he met and killed the victims, where he left their bodies and what the victims looked like,” authorities said.  “Little lacked the ability to accurately judge timeframes and distance. At times, Little was proven to be off by more than 10 years and 40 miles. ​Therefore, years and distances provided in the linked narratives should not be considered definitive.”

WHAT HAPPENED TO CALGARY WOMAN MISSING SINCE 1990?

Moui Nguyen, aka “Ni,” had just split with her boyfriend when she vanished from Calgary in January 1990.

Now, the Calgary Police Service is turning to the public for information they hope solves the 31-year-old cold case mystery.

Nguyen, 29, a Vietnamese refugee who arrived in Canada from Thailand in the mid-1980s, worked at a cafe and a clothing store.

“It was reported at the time that Nguyen had ended a relationship with an intimate partner shortly before her disappearance,” cops said in a press release, adding the probe is ongoing and they want to speak with people about Nguyen’s movements after January 1990.

UNSOLVED: JOEL ALEXANDER, 28

411: On Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, around 4:13 p.m., police responded to a drive-by shooting at 82 Peter St. in downtown Toronto. Alexander was discovered in a parking lot, suffering from gunshot wounds. He later died in hospital. Cops say the suspect in the targeted shooting was “very good looking” and believe he was driving a 2006 Lexus, either a 250 or 350 model. He is described as Black, with light brown skin and about 30.
