Side Jobs in Cyberpunk 2077 come in various flavors, and not everything needs to end in a murder spree. Sometimes you want to indulge in the excesses of Night City and see what the residents have to offer as entertainment.
The Stadium Love Side Job is as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. Compete in a shooting competition with a twist or mow down a gang of souped-up patriots as they’re having a party. Or simply leave; it’s all up to you.
How To Start ‘Stadium Love’
To start the mission, you will first need to visit the area highlighted on the map to trigger the system notification asking you to go, “See what’s going on.” It is located right beside the Rancho Coronado East Fast Travel Point and near the Ripperdoc.
You’ll need to get very close to the location in question as the quest starts when you can physically hear the voices of gang members in-game. When you see the Stadium Love notification pop up on the screen or hear cries of “2nd Amendment!” you’ll know you’re in the right place. The quest will trigger automatically, and you’ll see a quest icon pointing you toward a rooftop to begin the quest.
How To Complete ‘Stadium Love’
On the rooftop, you’ll encounter Captain Sherman and his crew, members of the 6th Street Gang, a primary force in Santo Domingo. V will be regaled with tales of a shooting competition between the Gang members. It’s up to you to decide what to do with this information.
There are three routes V can take to complete ‘Stadium Love’.
- Drink and Shoot: Select peaceful conversation options as you’re talking to Captain Sherman. The leader will ask you to bear the highest score yet and successfully shoot 46 targets while taking tequila shots. Successfully fulfilling his request results in a peaceful resolution and an Iconic Smart Assault Rifle, “Divided We Stand.”
- Kill Everyone: At any point, you can simply kill everyone around you by any means available to you to complete the mission.
- Leave: There is nothing stopping V from simply picking up and leaving if he/she chooses the “Whatever. See you/I’m going /Nah, not for me” option at any point in the conversation. Doing this will mark the quest complete in your quest log.
How To Successfully ‘Drink And Shoot’ 46 Times
If you end up choosing to go the competition route, you’ll need to shoot down 46 targets without making a mistake even once to get a perfect score. Chugging down drinks will make your vision blurry for a few seconds every time you do it, making landing shots harder.
You don’t need to complete Captain Sherman’s mission to obtain Divided We Stand. Simply kill him and loot his body to get the rifle. But be ready for combat, as this area is teeming with 6th Street goons itching for a fight.
There are four shooting stations that will light up on the map as you finish the previous one. The stations have a total of 46 targets (12, 12, 11, 11), and you’ll need to take a chug of alcohol before being allowed to compete. You can only use the DRS Nova pistol in this challenge you get from Captain Sherman when you accept the mission. Using another gun will not count.
Fortunately, the targets are stationary and relatively easy to shoot if you line up your sights correctly. Avoid hip firing in order to confirm hits and leave no room for error.
Here are some tips on successfully landing shots while drunk:
- Go left to right. Pick a starting point and shoot down every target in succession. It’s much easier that way.
- Get as close to the line as possible to make the targets bigger.
- Save just before accepting the mission and reload if you get less than a perfect score.
- Having faster reload time perks makes this challenge easier.
- There is a limit on time (12 Seconds), not on the number of bullets you can use. You can shoot a target twice if you miss it the first time and still get a perfect score.
If you shoot every target without a mistake, you’ll be tasked to go back to Captain Sherman, who will make a short speech and offer a position in his gang. Refuse him politely by choosing the first option, and he will give you the reward: Divided We Stand, a Rare Iconic Smart Assault Rifle that can be upgraded to Legendary if you so choose. Obtaining this weapon will also unlock its Crafting Spec in the Crafting menu.
