In case you don’t know, Daisy Jones & the Six is about to take over your every waking thought when it drops on Amazon Prime TV on 3 March. For Suki Waterhouse, that’s nothing new.
In the series—based on the novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid which, in turn, is loosely inspired by ’70s rock icon Stevie Nicks and the rise and fall of Fleetwood Mac—Waterhouse plays Karen Sirko, the band’s badass keyboardist and supposed side character to frontwoman Daisy Jones (Riley Keough). Much like Karen, who has become a fan favourite for book readers, Waterhouse clearly didn’t get that memo.
Though the press run has only just begun, Waterhouse has already fully committed to the ’70s bit. On 27 February the actor was photographed leaving Today wearing an embroidered pink minidress with white go-go boots, a fur coat lined with blue silk, and oversized orange-tinted glasses that would make Jane Birkin weep.
This comes just days after Waterhouse went full-out in this sheer, plunging emerald dress by Stéphane Rolland Couture. Like a true sartorial rock star, she let the neckline speak for itself, accessorising with a pair of chunky gold hoop earrings, a simple green clutch, and a smattering of rings.
“I’ve always desperately wanted to have the life of a musician, and I was really drawn to [Daisy Jones] because of that,” Waterhouse told Insider in October 2022 while promoting her EP, Milk Teeth. “Then my life was kind of melded into these two things, where I recorded my record while prepping for Daisy Jones.” She certainly looks the part.
