Do I need a visa for a short trip to Dubai?

Dubai has a range of visa options depending on the nature of travel.

If you are a passport-holder of a country that isn’t on the list above, you will need to get a visa – even if it’s just for a short trip.

For those in Dubai only for a short period, a transit visa is available.

This is for a very short stay not exceeding 96 hours.

There is a 14 day visa if you are planning to come for a short period of time, such as a conference or a holiday.

There is also a 30 day visa which is ideal for going to catch up with friends and family.

For a medium term under two month stay, a 60 day visa is recommended.

For a long term visit, the 90 day visa would be your best option.

All of these visa types have a single entry and multiple entry option allowing you to explore other countries and being able to return without paying again (except the transit visa which is single entry only).
