Emmerdale double exit as Nicky Milligan frames villager for attempted murder

Emmerdale fans have been eagerly waiting to find out who pushed Caleb Milligan (played by Will Ash) to his death.

However, towards the end of Tuesday night’s episode, Caleb’s son Nicky (Lewis Cope) admitted it was him.

As Caleb lay in a coma in hospital, Nicky broke down in tears over what he had done.

However, Nicky isn’t under the police’s radar, and instead, they believe Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) is the real culprit.

As Mackenzie was being put under pressure by the police, Nicky sat next to his dad’s bedside.

The question is, will Nicky let Mackenzie or someone else take the fall for what he did?

As Mack protested his innocence at the police station, Nicky could be heard saying to his dad: “I thought I killed you.”

Another person who is under suspicion is Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), who had a number of run-ins with his half-brother.

Kim Tate (Claire King) also has a reason to want Caleb gone for good.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk and other press, the actor who plays Nicky discussed his latest storyline and whether the nanny is capable of letting someone else take the fall for his crime.

Lewis began: “The reason we [want to] get revenge is so that we could look after my mum.

“So he [Caleb] just lied to me all the way through and it was only at that point that I realised and found out that information.

“So I then follow him into the woods and I think it just a spur of the moment… I think he has been backed into a corner and he feels betrayed and hurt and something just comes over him and he just makes a decision and anger gets the better of him.”

He added: “I think the moment he pushes him he feels massive regret but also a mix of relief.

“Just because he’s felt as though he manipulated him for so long and obviously betrayed [him] but obviously he still loves his dad it would be a bit tragic if he was to die.

“And if they found out it was him he could go to prison but I think if they also didn’t find out with Nicky then there could be relief there as well.”

A double exit from the village could be on the cards if Nicky lets Mackenzie take the fall for him and if his dad doesn’t make it.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
