Emmerdale family torn apart as Dan Spencer star shares Amelia regret

Emmerdale actor Liam Fox, who plays Dan Spencer, has opened up about his future on the ITV soap after his character got into a confrontation with Amelia Spencer’s (Daisy Campbell) stalker Lloyd (Matt Sutton).

In recent scenes, Dan ended up getting arrested after he punched Lloyd, resulting in him being rushed to hospital.

It is unclear whether Lloyd will die as a result of the punch, but Dan is fearing for his life and Amelia’s if he ends up in prison.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk and other press, the actor who plays Dan shares the mechanic’s regret over the accident.

He began: “For his daughter, he will do anything – if anyone messes with him, then that’s when he kind of flips from nice to guy to kind of having to deal with it.

“When he spots Lloyd with Amelia coming out of the church, he basically flips and confronts him. Basically, that’s where the fun begins.”

When asked whether Dan regrets punching Lloyd, Liam added: “Yeah, straightaway.”

Speaking about his character’s future and how he feels, the soap star went on: “He’s panicked and really worried about where this could potentially go.

“You know, it won’t be alright because the gravity of the situation is starting to kind of become apparent.”

After Lloyd lies in a hospital bed, Dan decides to pay him and visit and ends up arguing with the stalker’s wife.

Liam said: “He finds Lloyd’s wife there and he never even thought about Lloyd having a family of any description really.

“When he meets the wife she’s so normal and nice and everything that makes him feel worse is maybe Lloyd isn’t the person he thought he was.

“His mind becomes even more confused by that situation.”

Discussing how Amelia’s health could take a turn as a result, Daisy shared: “She tries to make something of herself and she had a tricky year last year.

“She’s got a baby, she’s trying to provide for Esther, she’s helping you out (Dan) because you’re obviously struggling a little bit as well.

“But yeah, I think she’s going through it again. I think this is the point where Amelia is probably going to break a bit.”
