It’s a sad week for former NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy as his wife Kim passed away. She was 61 years old.
Multiple outlets have reported that Kim Van Gundy passed away unexpectedly last week. The cause of death has not yet been announced.
The obituary highlighted Mrs. Van Gundy’s love of doing charity work and asked that donations be made to one of her favorite charities in lieu of sending flowers.
“Kimberly’s kindness and love for all around her was shown through her charitable works and activism,” the obituary said. “In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando or Crossroad’s Corral in Kim’s memory.”

Stan Van Gundy and Kim were married for 35 years. She was part of his entire NBA head coaching career.
Together the couple had four children. Kim Van Gundy also had four siblings and 13 nieces and nephews.
