FAU vs. Kansas State best same game parlay for NCAA Tournament Elite Eight

The Florida Atlantic Owls might not be a traditional Cinderella, a No. 9 seed that was ranked in the top 25 during the year and that America doesn’t really love because of a missed dunk in the Round of 32. They’re the small school that’s managed to get to the Elite Eight and yet there’s an underdog on the other side that the country has rallied around.

Markquis Nowell, Kansas State’s 5-foot-8 point guard blew everyone away in the Sweet 16 when he had 20 points and an NCAA record 19 assists in a 98-93 overtime win against Michigan State. Not to mention that it happened at Madison Square Garden in Nowell’s home town.

For this surprising Elite Eight matchup, I’ve put together a four-leg same game parlay on the DraftKings Sportsbook to cash in, but first let’s check out the odds for FAU and Kansas State at MSG.

FAU vs. Kansas State odds, spread and total

The Wildcats are a slight favorite in this one, but I like FAU to keep it close and have a chance to knock off the Big 12 darlings and go to the Final Four. Here is my four-leg DraftKings same game parlay that pays out +1159

Best same game parlay picks for FAU vs. Kansas State

FAU +2 vs. Kansas State (-110)
Over 144.5 (-110)
Vladislav Goldin over 6.5 rebounds (-130)
Johnell Davis over 22.5 pts+rebs+asts (-105)

FAU +2 (-110)

Kansas State’s offense continually got stagnant against Michigan State down the stretch and Nowell and Keyontae Johnson had a tendency to take deep contested jumpers or try to make something happen one-on-one. However, when the Wildcats ran their stuff, they got great shots every single time. FAU poses a different challenge with Vladislav Goldin in the middle. The Owls were 11th in the country in opponent two-point percentage, 44.8% and K-State is not a reliable three-point shooting team.

Over 140.5 (-175)

FAU is a high-scoring team. That didn’t really show up against Tennessee who was maybe the best defensive team in the entire country this year, but the Owls averaged 79.3 points a game this season which was 26th in the country. Kansas State was very susceptible to Tyson Walker and AJ Hoggard, so I expect Johnell Davis to get whatever he wants in this matchup.

Vladislav Goldin over 6.5 rebounds (-130)

Kansas State was 232nd in the country in defensive rebound percentage and in the Round of 32 got pounded on the boards by Kentucky. They were able to survive that, but now 7-foot-1 Goldin is going to give them some issues on the inside. Malik Hall played primary minutes at center for Michigan State and finished with eight boards off the bench.

Johnell Davis over 22.5 pts+rebs+asts (-105)

Tyson Walker finished with 16 points, five assists and three rebounds in the Sweet 16 and AJ Hoggard had 25 points and six assists. Both of the Spartans starting guards cleared this threshold against Kansas State who looked very susceptible on defense. For as good as Nowell is on the other end, Michigan State found ways to expose him and the Wildcats other wing defenders.
