Fern Britton praises Miriam Margolyes for attack on Jeremy Hunt

Jeremy Hunt is currently having a busy morning of interviews after being appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer yesterday, following the sacking of Kwasi Kwarteng.

The BAFTA award-winning star told Radio 4 presenters: “When I saw him there I just said, ‘You’ve got a hell of a job, the best of luck’.”

To the shock of listeners, however, Miriam then went on to swear loudly before being removed from the airwaves.

“What I really wanted to say was, ‘F*** you!’ but you can’t say that,” she revealed.
