GLAMOUR Tries: We’ve tried the London Brow Pro Brow Lamination Kit

There’s no better pastime than testing out the coolest new skincare/makeup/hair trends and snazzy innovations in beauty tech from the comfort of your own home. That said, there’s nothing more frustrating than spending upwards of £100 on a new at-home facial system or snazzy pair of hair straighteners, only to find out they don’t *actually* work.

Enter: GLAMOUR Tries, the weekly Instagram series which sees GLAMOUR editors do all of the time-consuming (and expensive) work for you.

Yep, we’ve been busy trying out all of the wacky and wonderful beauty crazes to take the internet (read: TikTok) by storm – from the YSL lipstick printer to Il Makiage’s iconic foundation and even the viral Hair Bedazzler tool from Amazon. These are the products every influencer/Gen-Z beauty sleuth/beauty editor is talking about on the internet – but that you want to be sure about before parting with your money.

Thanks to GLAMOUR Tries, you won’t need to waste your hard-earned pennies on testing these innovations yourself. We’re getting in their first, giving you the lowdown and making sure you invest in products that genuinely work.

And this week, our Website Director Ali Pantony got her hands on the London Brow Pro Brow Lamination Starter Kit that lets you laminate your brows from the comfort of your own home. This kit promises roughly 30 (yes, actually 30) brow lamination treatments and includes one pack of 10 sachets of the lifting product, one pack of 10 sachets of the neutralising cream and one pack of 10 sachets of the nourishing serum, as well as mascara wands, tint applicators and micro fibre brushes – all for £99, which, in retrospect, isn’t a whole lot, considering what you would normally pay for multiple in-salon treatments. One thing to note though is that this kit is intended for eyebrows only and the manufacturer strongly advises against using products on eyelashes.

The included products feature a formula that helps achieve waterproof results and includes a keratin shield system, intensive skin protection and anti-redness properties, all without an overwhelming scent. Plus, it’s also vegan, non-GMO, cruelty free and silicon free.

“First step is this lifting cream, which you apply all over your brows and that’s going to perm them,” Ali explains as she’s about to start applying the product. As she spreads the lifting cream, she’s also making sure to brush her brow hair upwards using the included mascara wand.

“OK, now what we have to do is apply cling film all over the brow area,” she shares.

“You leave it for 3-5 minutes for thin or fine brows and 4-8 minutes for medium or normal brows,” Ali adds. In her case, she decided that her brows fall under the latter category and opted to keep the product on for six minutes. Once the time was up, she proceeded to remove the product using a damp cotton pad.

Ali then applied neutralising cream all over her brows and left it on for 8 minutes and wiped it off with a dry cotton pad. Next step is to “apply the nourishing serum on the entire brow area to set your brows in the shape you want,” Ali explains, after which she then applies the product using her fingers.

“Uhm… guys, are you seeing this? These look so good!,” she notes as she’s checking the final result. “I’m so impressed! You can’t get them wet for the first 24 hours so that they keep their shape and they should last between 4-6 weeks,” she concludes.
