Personally, I would love to see more mermaid-y looks. One of my all-time favorite Oscars dresses is Marion Cotillard’s Jean Paul Gaultier look from 2008, which was absolutely fishtastic. (Even Kendall Jenner couldn’t resist resurrecting this one.)

But back to Hailey. The next day Bieber traded her dresses for jeans and stepped out in a look that’s very ’90s dad, but make it fashion. Say what you want about her, she always looks put-together and polished, and like she’s on top of the trend rather than chasing the trends.
Please, no one start anything about this mermaid minidress—it’s literally just a very cute dress; we can have stan wars another time, okay?
