Harman Baweja, who made his big Bollywood debut alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas in Love Story 2050, recently addressed the link up rumours that fuelled during 2008 when he was launched in the industry. The actor, who is planning to make a comeback with the Netflix series Scoop featuring Karishma Tanna, opened up about the way tabloid media reporting about his personal life, which according to him, took precedence over talking about his work.

In an interview with Etimes, Harman Baweja opened up about the real-life media ‘scoops’ he has encountered which also included his link up rumours with Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Reacting to these gossips, Harman said, “That’s tabloid media to start with. They are not really interested in if you have done a film or bagged another film or worked hard on a film set and got injured. They see you outside a restaurant and 3 minutes later another girl walks out of the same restaurant and apparently the tabloids think you were having lunch with that girl, while in reality, that is probably not true. I would have gone to pick up a packet of food and the other girl might have been with her dad.”
He further mentioned about how these can sometimes hamper your work, adding, “The scoops were fun when they were sweet but it was bitter when they weren’t.” However the actor asserted that this is one of the disadvantages that a celebrity/actor have to live with. “But it’s a part and parcel of the line you have chosen, so you can’t really complain,” he concluded.
Harman Baweja last appeared in the film Dishkiayoon in 2016. However, his 2007 film It’s My Life with Genelia D’Souza released in 2020 after several years of setbacks, making it his recent Bollywood release. The actor, who made his OTT acting debut with Bhaukaal, will now be seen in the Netflix show Scoop based on the Jigna Vora’s memoir Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison.
