Henry Cavill fans want to know if his Superman is in The Flash and now we know

Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Flash.

Last year, there were reports that Henry Cavill had filmed a cameo in The Flash and that Warner Bros were debating whether to retain it in the movie or not.

After all, the Superman star made a cameo in the end credits scene of Black Adam before being dropped by new DC Studios boss James Gunn, who has plans for a new Man of Steel in 2025’s Superman: Legacy.

Nevertheless, The Flash is a DCEU film so it was perfectly possible for Cavill to make a comeback.

Now the movie has been released in UK cinemas and we finally have an answer.

Does Henry Cavill’s Superman have a role in The Flash? Yes… and no. Although the star’s cameo has been cut, his Man of Steel does feature in the movie.

At the start, he’s shown from behind flying around on a TV news report, being too busy to help Batman. Later on in the movie when Barry is travelling back in time CGI figures from his past are spotted. This includes a close-up of a resurrected topless Cavill’s Superman from the events of Justice League.

Although that’s it for Snyderverse Man of Steel, there are a number of classic Superman cameos.

And no doubt Gunn will be planning a multiverse movie at some point in the DCU’s future, so we doubt we’ve seen the last of Cavill’s Kal-El.

The Flash is out now in UK cinemas.
