Hockey WC 2023: Sports Minister Anurag Thakur unveils 'World Cup Trophy' in Delhi

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur unveiled the ‘Hockey World Cup Trophy’ at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi on December 16. Hockey World Cup 2023 will take place in Odisha from January 13 to January 29. At the event, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said, “India will host the Men’s Hockey World Cup for the second time. We are ready to host the World Cup and compete with 16 different teams across the world. We saw that after a gap of 41 years, our hockey team won a medal in Tokyo Olympics this year.”
