How To Propose A New Time In Google Calendar – SlashGear

0

If you have a pressing need to reschedule an event that’s already set up in Google Calendar, you can use the proposal feature to request a rearranged time from the event’s organizer. Obviously, it’s up to the organizer themselves if your proposal will actually go through, but at least doing it this way can quickly notify all involved parties, and you won’t have to play phone tag with everyone.

  1. Open the Google Calendar app on desktop or mobile.

  2. Click on the event you’re hoping to reschedule.

  3. Find the RSVP options at the bottom of the page and click the little upward-facing arrow.

  4. In the bar that appears, click the “Propose a new time” button.

  5. In the window that appears, enter the new start time and end time. You can also add an optional message with an explanation.

  6. Click the “Send proposal” button.

Once you send your proposal, the event’s organizer will receive a notification with the details. If they accept the proposal, the change will be reflected on your Google Calendar, and you may receive a notification.
