Today, the most awaited AMAN property -opened in August 2, 2022- shines magically at the corner of 57th Street and 5th avenue, right at the edge of the Billionaire’s row in Midtown. Ideally located, just two blocks South from Central Park, facing Bergdorf Goodman and a few steps from the MOMA, Rockfeller Center and Radio City Hall, Aman New York occupies the historic 1921 Beaux-Arts Crown Building which was the first high-rise building constructed in Manhattan. Originally called the Heckscher Building, the tower was constructed by philanthropist August Heckscher and designed by Warren and Wetmore. The most successful and prolific architectural practice in America during the first three decades of the twentieth century was known for celebrated Grand Central Terminal and for having produced more than three hundred projects which have influenced the architectural tastes of America’s Gilded Age until the Great Depression.
