Even though it was a requirement for his career, Golden State Warriors star Andrew Wiggins says he wishes he didn’t get jabbed with the COVID-19 vaccine.
In an interview with FanSided, the 27-year-old forward admitted he was reluctant to get the COVID-19 vaccine, but it was required in order to play. Had he not gotten the vaccine, Wiggins would’ve missed a substantial part of the season due to pandemic protocols.
“I still wish I didn’t get it, to be honest with you, but you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do,” said Wiggins. “I did it, and I was an All-Star this year and champion, so that was the good part, just not missing out on the year, the best year of my career.”

With the vaccine in his system, Wiggins averaged 18 points and eight rebounds during the NBA playoffs en route to helping the Warriors win the championship.
Wiggins averaged 18 points and 8 rebounds for the Dubs in the Finals this season … helping Golden State win yet another title, and the first of his career.
The forward said he “just don’t like putting all that stuff in my body, so I didn’t like that and didn’t like that it wasn’t my choice.”
“I didn’t like that it was either get this or don’t play,” Wiggins told FanSided’s Mark Carman.
Wiggins had been widely vocal about not wanting the vaccine. At one point, he applied for a religious exemption but the NBA denied that.
He ultimately got the vaccine for the betterment of his team, FanSided reported.
