Renowned filmmaker Atlee has showered accolades on the latest Bollywood movie Bawaal, featuring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. The film, which premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video today, has left Atlee impressed with its exceptional literary quality and storytelling.

In a tweet, Atlee expressed his admiration for Bawaal, describing it as a “feel-good watch” with a great literary craft that made him feel like he was reading a book and visualizing it on the screen. He praised the performances of all the actors, particularly lauding Varun Dhawan for his top-notch portrayal in the film, and heaped praise on Janhvi Kapoor for her performance. Atlee tweeted, “#Bawaal , a feel-good watch. A great craft in its own novelist way. Felt like reading a book and visualising it. Varun Dhawan responded to Atlee’s kind words with gratitude, hinting at a possible collaboration in the future. He tweeted, “Thank u sir see u sooon.” The speculations have been fuelled by reports indicating that Atlee will be producing Varun’s upcoming movie, which is an official remake of the Tamil hit Theri. The 2016 Tamil film, written and directed by Atlee, starred Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role and achieved massive success at the box office, solidifying Atlee’s position in Tamil cinema.

The Hindi remake of Theri is said to feature Varun Dhawan in the lead role, with Keerthy Suresh rumoured to play the female lead. While an official confirmation is yet to be made, fans are eagerly anticipating this exciting collaboration between Varun and Atlee.

As for Atlee, he is currently engrossed in his much-awaited Hindi film Jawan. The film marks his debut in the Hindi film industry and promises never-seen-before avatars of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The recently released prevue has already sparked excitement among movie-goers nationwide, with electrifying moments building anticipation for the movie’s release.
