Jesy Nelson revealed she contracted coronavirus when she started ‘feeling unwell’ for a few days.
The singer had to pull out of her first solo concert that was meant to happen at Hits Radio Live in Birmingham on Saturday.
She took to her social media to explain to fans that she had to cancel the performance and talked about how she was feeling.
On her Instagram Stories, Jesy said: “Hey my lovelies, after feeling unwell for the last few days, I’ve sadly tested positive for Covid, Which means I’m now self-isolating, following government guidelines.
“It means I’m no longer able to perform live in Birmingham this Saturday. Apologies to any of my fans who bought tickets and I’m so sorry I can no longer be there.”
Jesy concluded the post: “I hope you all have an amazing night, stay safe and I can’t wait to see you all soon love you so much.”

Although she pulled out of this concert, she is still set to make an appearance alongside Justin Bieber and Coldplay at a huge new gig in the capital next month.
The former Little Mix singer was announced as part of the star-studded line-up at Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard on 11 December, with the Sorry hitmaker headlining the weekend of gigs at London’s O2 Arena.
The concert was announced by Capital radio host Roman Kemp, and the former I’m A Celebrity star confirmed Justin, Jesy, and Coldplay will be joined by the likes of Years & Years, Jax Jones, Clean Bandit, and Becky Hill on the Saturday night.
Jesy recently admitted that she found her debut television performance as a solo artist a little ‘scary’.
She appeared on The Graham Norton Show earlier this month to perform her single Boyz.
In the interview following her performance, the star admitted it was terrifying.

Jesy quit Little Mix back in December 2020, after admitting being in the group had taken a toll on her mental health, and she has since gone on to forge out a solo career.
However, the weeks following the release of her debut single didn’t quite go how she might have expected as her former Little Mix bandmates appeared to criticise her for blackfishing in her music video, with a friend telling The Mirror recently that the whole feud was “all getting a bit much” for the singer.
And after making her debut TV performance on the episode of the BBC One show, Graham quizzed Jesy on how it felt performing. She said: “It was really scary.”
