Kamal Hassan starrer Indian 2/Bharateeyudu 2 acclaims to be the most expensive film in his career. While being the most awaited venture, the film carries a powerful cast of Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram, Priya Bhavani Shankar along with others. The movie aims to release on Pongal next year, as per some media reports.

Indian 2 is a sequel to Kamal Hassan’s and director Shankar’s blockbuster released two decades ago in 1996 titled Indian. The duo is now working together on the sequel. Kamal Hassan has already finished dubbing for the film. New reports state that actor Siddharth has begun his dubbing sessions for the movie. Reportedly, the team is planning to wrap up the shoot of Indian 2 by this month, as Hassan stated it in a media interaction earlier.
While the film has crossed many obstacles coming its way, it managed to enter its final stage of shoots. While the film’s majority shoot is completed, the final leg is happening in Chennai. Media reports from News18 state that the shooting for the film is brought to an alleged halt at the Chennai airport by officials. Reports state that they did not have the right permissions for the shoot.
Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies looked over the distribution of Kamal Hassan’s previous movie Vikram. It has teamed up with Kamal Hassan again for this upcoming release. Reports from Tracktollywood state that Lyca Productions will produce the film while Red Giants will co-produce and manage its distribution across Tamil Nadu.
Kamal Hassan will also be starring in Project K alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The film is produced by C. Aswani Dutt and directed by Nag Ashwin. The film will supposedly release next year.
